Club /Team Competition in North Carolina
Play in events with a team or as
an individual. Scores count as individual and for your team.
Join as a team and play as a team but get the benefits of
having your individual scores count too.
Memberships: All
three team players must be AAU members $14.00 each. Tour membership
for each team $25.00. Total membership for team $117.00 covers
all membership fees for all three players.
Reduction in Tournament Fees Per Team: To assist in making
junior golf more affordable we have reduced the team cost
for event entry.

AAU sanctioned events and reported to National AAU Scoring
All events with at least 25 Boys playing longest yardage and
events with at least 8 Girls playing longest yardage will
be receive ranking by TYGA. See

Age groups:
(6yrs thru 9yrs). Boys or girls teams or both.
Special tees, Par 3's 80-90 Yds,
Par 4's 180-200Yds,
Par 5's 300-350 Yyds
(10 thru 11yrs). Boys or girls teams or both.
Red Tee's 4,500-4,800 Yds
(12 thru 13 yrs). Boys or girls teams or both.
Boys White Tee
Girls 4,500 to 4,800
(14 thru 15yrs). Boys or girls teams or both.
Boys 6,000 to 6,500 Yds
Girls 5,600 to 6,000 Yds.
(16 thru 18 yrs). Boys or girls teams or both.
Boys 6,000 to 6,500 Yds
Girls 5,600 to 6,000 Yds.
Format: Three man
teams playing stroke play. Your club can field a three man
boys or girl team or both with two scores counting each day.
USGA rules. One and two day tournaments in each region leading
to a state championship then to a national championship. Each
event will have a team Champion, with accumative record for
each event for the year ranking the team and the players individually.
Teams: May have mixed age groups but
will have to compete at the higher age for that team. Players
can only play up one age bracket and will play from their
designated tees.
Example: Team A (14yr -14yr 16yr), Team
B (15yr -16yr- 18yr).
Team C (14yr - 15yr- 15yr). Team A competes at the 16 yr-18yrs
group, team B competes at 16 yr -18 yrs group, team C competes
at the 14yr -15yr age group. Each tournament will have Individual
Champions in each age group.
Coaches: Each team may have one designated
coach. Coaching may occur only from tee to green! There
will be no Coaching from or on the greens. Coaches Name
must be submitted with entry form. No substitutes of coaches
during a round. Coaches must be approved by the AAU and
Local Region Officials. Coaches will need to be AAU Members.
Each coach will need to display coach's apparel so they
may be identified.
Regions: Charlotte/ Mountains, Piedmont/Durham,
Raleigh /Coastal. Region
Trophies: Top Three teams (Trophies)
(medals for Players)
Top Three Individuals in each age group.
Teams will be able to have trophies to display at
Home club or course.
Regional Competition: Top six teams advance
to State tournament.* (All age groups advance to state level
this year).
State Competition: Top Six Teams in the
state tournament, in 14yr thru 18yrs will advance to National
competition.
