TGTJT Age Groupings

We try to promote solid and fair competitive environments for each age group. Therefore we evaluate our age groups as needed. We feel the age groups below prepare young golfers for further competition. The older age groups are grouped according to guidelines that will help prepare them for Middle School and High School golf. The younger age groups have been evaluated and additions made to provide learning experience for all abilities.
Announcing:
New flights for High School Boys. There will be two flights for High School Boys beginning February 2007.
TYGA multipliers will continue to have the 14-15 Boys trophy flight and 16-18 Boys flight. Now all events will
be flighted for High School Boys into 14-15 and 16-18.
We are continously look for ways to improve competition. Even though this has been evaluated before and only implemented
in the TYGA Multiplier events we plan to give these new flights a time to prove themselves.

16-18 Boys 6000 to 6800 yds
14-15 Boys 6000 to 6800 yds
12-13 Boys 5500 to 6000 yds
10-11 Boys Red Tees or Gold Tees
9 under Boys Advanced - plays 18 holes from Red tees on par 3, 200 yds on par 4 and 300 yd on par 5.
New Additions- 9 holes play for the less experienced (to be determined by Tour Director and Parent).
10 year olds- 9 holes Red Tees
8-9 year olds- 9 holes from Red tees on par 3, 200 yds on par 4 and 300 yd on par 5.
7 under - 9 holes from Red tees on par 3, 150 yds on par 4, and 200 yds on par 5.

14-18 Girls 5500 to 6100 yds
12-13 Girls 5000 to 5800 yds
10-11 Girls Red Tees
9 under Girls Advanced - plays 18 holes from Red tees on par 3, 200 yds on par 4 and 300 yd on par 5.
