PROCESS FOR CALCULATING POINTS
The AAU / Atlantic Coast Junior Golf office staff is responsible
for calculating points for each player who has earned points.
To find out what events are used and their point values
go to the "Relativity Merit Point Chart" on the
website. Each golfer can keep track of their own points
if they wish from their finish at each event by using this
ROM Point Chart.
ROM Point Chart
The ROM Point Chart ranks in column one, the relative importance
of each event considering level of competition, starting
with the championships as a benchmark of 100. The point
values awarded are done in a manner so that the numbers
are easy to work with. Numbers are balanced and rounded
off to the nearest "5" for simplicity sake.
Points are awarded initially to the winner of the event,
who will be given 100% of the tournament points available.
Then points are awarded according to the following distribution
schedule for either Stroke Play or Match Play events:
