Advance, NC- TGTJT was at Bermuda Run West September 24-25, 2005 for the Fall 2005 Match Play Championship. The East was defending the Cup after winning three in a row. West Team came on strong on Saturday finishing the day with 3 of 4 matches for the 18 Holes Modified Alternating Shots. With West leading 3 to 1 the first 9 holes was Four Ball Matches with West finishing strong again with 3 1/2 points to East 1/2. Going into the Individual Matches West 6 1/2 to East 1 1/2 with eleven individual matches. East Team made a good showing by sticking it out to the end. East needing total 9 1/2 point to retain the Cup and West needed 10 points to win the Cup. West took the Cup from the East with total of 14 1/2 points. Congratulations to West for regaining the Cup.
